The unique importance and position of the Holy Quran has led the Muslims to have the most important and the most frequent references to the Quran. But due to the different understanding of people depending on their aptitude, the best and most magnificent method of reference to the Quran is witnessed in Holy Imams ratifications. Some of their references to the Quran are direct and some others are indirect.
Uninformed people can recognize direct references; however only the well-informed people can perceive the indirect ones. This article investigates indirect references from a literary point of view and four types of references are discussed lexical, propositional, inspirational, and implicit.
